China-ish things.

There has been little China-ish happening for a long time now. Nothing much at all interesting to report, but today something worth telling happened.

Brad and I walked over the road to the afternoon markets to pick up some fruit and veg and just at the same time a married couple was being welcomed into their new home. They set off fireworks before getting the two dragons to dance around the front of the building to frighten away the bad spirits. Next the married couple entered their house through a gauntlet of canned string mercilessly sprayed on them.

It kind of reminded me of the wonderful things that we have seen and how wonderful it is to live in another country (even though sometimes is sucks)
